HMBirds:
Join HMBirds. It is an
internet
group of over 400 birders focusing on the birds of the eleven-county
area surrounding Albany. Anyone may read postings on the internet by
going to
this website: HMBirds. Only
HMBirds
members may post, however, so you need to join if you want to send
notes
to
the group. Membership is not restricted to HMBC members.
HMBirds is a mailing list which means that if a member sends
("posts")
an email to the group, the message goes out to all the group members.
Members
may choose to receive individual emails as posted or receive a "digest"
of
all messages from each day in one email daily OR receive no email
(which
means you can post because you are a member of HMBirds and instead of
getting
emails, messages can be read at the website).
Birding
Note -
Gary Goodness spoke again with the Mayor of Cohoes about access to the
former New Street site overlooking Cohoes Flats. The Mayor confirmed
that HMBC members are permitted to drive through the DPW garage area to
get to the park for birding. The route runs around the north end of the
garage, then turns back to near the south end of the garage before
turning sharply to the right up a steep hill that leads to the area
formerly known as New Street. Please drive very slowly and cautiously
through the DPW garage area.

Report all dead birds you find to this number, and
encourage
your neighbors and friends to do the same.
